This small-batch rum is aged initially in ex-bourbon barrels for five years, before it is transferred into barrels that previously held Malmsey, Bual and Tinta Negra Madeira for 3-6 months to be finished. It was bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or artificial flavours.
Nose: Warm welcoming nose of walnuts and hazelnuts follows through to bright cinnamon, fresh citrus and marzipan notes.
Palate: Welcoming floral note opens, leading then to the marzipan from the nose. The mid-palate opens into white chocolate and bright citrus ending with pleasant pumpkin seeds.
